SHORT BATEGA

Very fast and entertaining route where we will do practically all the ascent in a single climb. The whole journey will be made by well-milled paths surrounded by black pine forest. Remember you are in a grazing area. During the tour you may find yarn for livestock. For a good coexistence with farmers and all those who live in nature, remember to close the yarns on your way
We will start the circuit in the Plaza de la 1 de Octubre, in front of the Bar Casino. With the first few meters through the streets of the village, we will quickly enter the path of the Font de la Serra, which in descent, will take us to the neighborhood of Les Casetes, small group of houses that we will cross to follow a short cemented section that will take us to the beginning of the Camí de la Soís, where we will start the most demanding ascent sector, which will take us to the Baga de Planoles to the highest point of the route, in the forest of the Baga de Planoles, overcoming almost all the positive difference in less than 3km.
We will start a rapid descent, always through the forest, which will force us to run with all our senses on alert, passing first Can Gasparó, an old farmhouse recovered as a restaurant and rural accommodation, to continue descending later to the Marist Hostel, where we will cross the Rigart river and we will face the demanding last sector of the route, less than a kilometer in ascent which, by sections of asphalt, dirt road, stairs and the streets of the town, will take to us until the starting point.

WATER.- All services in Planoles. We will find a torrent to soak.

Quite a demanding and entertaining route where we will do practically all the positive gradient in a single climb, and with some technical part where we will need the help of our hands. We will start the circuit in the Plaça 1 d’Octubre, in front of the Bar Casino. We will continue on a clear ascent, between monumental trees and torrents of fresh water, until we come across the forest track from Campelles to Coll Roig, where we will turn left to make a fairly flat stretch of track, which will help us relax. legs after the demanding climb we made. After this friendly kilometer, in Coll de Prat de Jou we will turn right to take a path-breaking path, where we will hardly find the rhythm, which will take us, after leaving behind a vertical section where we will use our hands to climb, to the free Refuge of La Covil. From the door of the refuge we will see clearly what we will have to overcome before crowning the first peak of the route, a meadow with a steep slope. Arriving at La Covil, at an altitude of 2001m, we will distinguish in front of us the Costa Pubilla, the highest point of the route and where we will arrive after overcoming a strong siphon from the Coll de Coma Ermada.

From the top we will start the descent, first along a ridge section but without too much technical difficulty, to the Coll de la Bona, where we will turn right to descend to the Plans de Nevà and Coll Roig, where we will enter the forest again. At this point we will begin a rapid descent, always through the forest, which will force us to run with all our senses on alert, passing first by Can Baldrich, an old ruined farmhouse, and continue down to the village of Nevà, a postcard town which is well worth a calmer visit. We leave the houses behind on a clear descent, first along the track and shortly afterwards take a path on our right. The trail is a breakwater, always through red pine forest, which demands the maximum attention and demand in this final section of the circuit. Arriving at the Alberg Marista, we will see the Rigart river, which we will cross by a metal walkway at the height of the football field, and we will face the demanding last sector of the route, less than a kilometer uphill. which, by stretches of asphalt, dirt, stairs and the streets of the village, will take us to the starting point.

VERTICAL BATEGA

Very demanding route without rest and very changing, with a short break that marks the difference between the wooded area and the most alpine to the top. In winter we can find snow on the top, and some icy areas. The whole route passes through the shade of Montgrony, very shady. Remember you are in a grazing area. During the tour you may find yarn for livestock. For a good coexistence with farmers and all those who live in nature, remember to close the yarns in your path.

We will start the route in the meadow next to the Rigart, where we will find the signs for the OTR App. The first meters, through meadows, will already mark what will be the tone of the route, a constant climb with a slope that will force us to make a full effort. We will leave the meadow and enter the forest along a well-paved path, going up parallel to the Torrent del Cogulló. With a small section where the slope gives us a short break, and always into the Bosc del Cogulló, we will flank the hill of the same name on the left before reaching the only flat section of the route, about 300m that will take us to Coll Roig, an area of meadows where the forest opens up and lets us see what lies ahead, and the entrance to the final grassy canal, constant and steep where we will be tempted to help hands at some point. The canal ends at the Coll de Maians, already at an altitude of 2000m, where we will turn left to reach the final ridge, where we will make the last 50m positive gradient, seeing at all times the characteristic small cross of the Cim de Costa Pubilla.

At the top the reward is extraordinary, with 360º views, from the Puigmal and the Eastern Pyrenees, to the Serra Cavallera, or the Serra de Montserrat and the Plana de Vic on the horizon.

We will make the descent by undoing the ascent path, with caution in the grassy canal, especially if it is wet.

WATER.- We will find water and all the services in Planoles. At Rigart we can refresh our legs on the descent.

BTT PAS DELS LLADRES

A very demanding route due to the steep gradient in a few kilometers and the altitude where we will cycle for much of the circuit. At Pas dels Lladres, on the border with France, we will enjoy spectacular views of the Puigmal peak and the surrounding valleys. Remember you are in a grazing area. During the tour you may find yarn for livestock. For a good coexistence with farmers and all those who live in nature, remember to close the yarns after passing.

We will start the circuit in the Plaça 1 d’Octubre, in front of the Bar Casino. With the first few meters through the streets of the village until you take the Camino de Planés, a small town from which we will cross the N-260 with caution. After a first cemented ramp, we will start an entertaining stretch of path, following the GR, to the small town of Dòrria, which at 1500m altitude is one of the highest inhabited areas in Catalonia. We will leave the houses behind by a wide and comfortable track that we will follow for about two kilometers, where when we reach a crossroads we will make a turn to the right, and again by track but more broken and with more slope it will take us to Coll Marcer, where we will overcome the elevation 2000, after passing through the Coll de la Creu de Maians and the forest of the same name.

In Coll Marcer we will make a sharp turn to the right, where we will follow a long stretch of ridge along a fairly broken path with steep sections, which together with the height where we are, will make the march slow and give us no respir. This whole ridge sector, completely sunny, is bordered by France, and will lead us to crown the highest point of the circuit, the Pas dels Lladres, at 2530m, wide pass that separates the rounded peak of Puig de Dòrria and Tossal dels Lladres.

From the pass we will start the technical descent, along a narrow alpine path that will force us to control the speed at all times. Always on a well-paved path, and later on stretches of meadow, we will enter again in a wooded area, to reach the Collet de les Barraques, where the road ends that from Planoles, and in only 9km, saves an ascent of 800m, an authentic first class port.

We will make a short paved section until we find the GR path, to the left of the walk, which will take us back to the starting point. With a steep slope and technical sections, we must have all the senses on alert to take the right track at all times. After the Can Fosses campsite we will have left behind the whole technical sector, and we will only have to get back to the N-260, where we will take all possible cautions to cross it, and through a wide area of stairs we will reach the cobbled streets of the nucleus that will return us to the Plaça 1 d’Octubre.

WATER.- All services in Planoles. Aigua Dòrria, km 6. Corral Blanc Refuge km 32. We will find different torrents to soak.

BIKE ASCENT TO COLLET DE BARRAQUES

Very demanding route due to the steep slope in a few kilometers and the height where we will pedal in a large part of the circuit. By itself, the climb to Barracas may seem like little for a cyclist, but its physical demands, its spectacular landscapes and the tranquility of the road make it a perfect complement to finish any pedaling through the Ribes Valley.
For those who love challenges and competition, we will be able to compare and rival ourselves thanks to the Open Trail Races App. We will also find all the marked kilometers, with indications of the height where we are and the percentage of slope of the next kilometer. Except in winter, where we can find snow on the last kilometers of the road, any other time of the year is ideal to enjoy the Collet de les Barraques.
We will start the climb to the junction of the N-152, in Planoles itself. There we will find the poster of the profile of the route, with the maximum slopes indicated. The first meters of the route will already indicate the hardness of it, where it will be difficult for us to descend from the 8% slope. Shortly after km1, just after the entrance to the campsite, the road becomes narrower and we enter a fully alpine landscape, linking curves between the black pine forest that surrounds us. Through the cracks where the forest opens, it allows us to see the landscape and assume the unevenness that we are overcoming.
With very constant ramps, after a 180º turn to the left and shortly after leaving km 6 behind, we will find Font Freda on the right, a place where, if we are not very drowned and fighting against the clock, it is worth doing a stop to cool off.
At km8 we will see the Corral Blanc Refuge, where there is a leisure area and where if we stop we will enjoy a good snack to regain strength. Shortly after the refuge we will arrive at the small parking lot, a small esplanade on the side of the road closed by the barrier. To the right of the barrier there is a cemented pass, and we will face the last 500m of ascent, after which we will arrive at Collet de les Barraques, at 1920m above sea level, where the asphalt ends and we it opens up an impressive landscape with the giant Puigmal watching us closely.
The descent will be done by the same road, controlling the speed and watching with the more than probable cow poop and the dry pine needles that fall from the trees.

WATER- All services in Planoles. Water in Font Freda, km 6. Refugi Corral Blanc km 8.
